Film Term Exams

There will be several short exams on film terms this semester. These exams will require you to name technical film terms. I will give you the definitions, and you must recall the correct term and spell it accurately in the blank. To do well, you must study the glossary and learn the terminology as we progress in the course. If you prepare by writing the terms over and over again while using the flashcard tool in the glossary, you'll be more likely to score high on these exams, your film notes, and the final exam.

There are 83 film terms, so I will divide the categories across four short film term exams:
  1. Film Term Exam 1: Camera Work and Critique (20)
  2. Film Term Exam 2: Editing (20)
  3. Film Term Exam 3: Frame and Mise-en-scène (20)
  4. Film Term Exam 4: Sound and Storytelling (23)
The categories match the ones I used in the glossary tool.

For them to count as complete, you must take the exams in the classroom at the scheduled time and you must make a 70% or higher on that attempt. If you make less than a 70%, you will have to retake the exam until you hit that mark, making your exam "late."

To make an "A" in the course, you must make an 80% or higher on each one.
